The project is the conservation and adaptation of a protected structure and its garden. The house built circa 1840 was the last infill in this Dublin terrace and is smaller in scale than its earlier neighbours, which occupied larger sites. Whilst providing well-proportioned reception rooms, this resulted in a dark basement kitchen with a 2.1 metre ceiling height. There was no bathroom accommodation.
