The University required that business should continue uninterrupted throughout this regeneration requiring a complicated phasing strategy and the combination of new build and extensive re-cladding refurbishment. Consultants were appointed August 2003. The first planning application was lodged February 2004; Practical Completion of the fifth contract in the phased construction was achieved, on program, September 2008. The two main contracts were completed in 9 sections. No teaching days were lost during this process.
