The purpose of the RIAI Irish Architecture Awards is to promote the quality of current work by members at home and abroad.

Only projects designed by RIAI members shall be considered for the Irish Architecture Awards.

Any member of the RIAI may nominate any project or projects for consideration, including any of their own work.

The Council reserves the right to permit or refuse the presentation of any award. All awards shall be made on an equal basis.

The Council may direct the Jury on any matter relating to the awards.

  • The RIAI Council may also nominate projects for consideration.
  • It is the function of the RIAI to ensure that only eligible projects are considered.
  • The Jury may recommend that no award be made in a particular category

Awards shall consist of a plaque prepared by the RIAI, specifying the category, name of the project, architect, and client.

Awards plaques shall be presented to the architect and the client. Commended projects will receive a certificate, which will be presented to the architect.

Projects shall be defined as including: new buildings, refurbishment, conservation, interior design, amenity projects, landscaping and urban design.
