The M701 Technology Units form the second major phase of development within Ulster's first Technology PArk at Antrim. Four units of this type were constructed on a speculative basis with funding from the INdustrial Development Board for Northern Ireland.

The prime objective was to achieve flexibility; each unit may be sub-divided into a maximum of three tenancies, with each tenancy having a 50% expansion capability. The barrell vault delineates the services and ancillary spine which may also be extended or adapted to suit the needs of prospective tenants.

Each unit complements existing Park buildings in terms of scale, whilst in form, materials and colour are distinct. Extensive areas of hard and soft landscaping include densely planted beds, a landscaped courtyard, pergolas and a water garden.

Users range from the computer centre of a multi-national company to the headquarters of a local company's international construction division.
