Garden Room Extension

Citation

Dublin - Under £200,000

Working in Dublin City - returning each day to sensible suburbia, bound by the built and measured order of roads, houses and gardens.

The Desire - a retreat back to nature. The Response - a Garden Room. It becomes an escape to a totally private domain linking the previously inward looking house with its own garden, engaging the garden which now becomes a room in itself and not just a measured area of grass.

The elements are now formally addressed: Light and Air embraced and the ground made accessible. A glass box and a pyramid roof are the basic form of the room, ancored to the garden by the 'hedgewall'.
