A curved street carved out of an existing derelict area provides a new inner city, residential quarter. The two and three storey plaster finished terrace is appropriate in its scale and its attention to the demands of the site. The semi-circular corner onto Excise Street is simple and attractive, and the orientation towards the Shannon is a skilful example of urban planning.
