The Linen Centre in Lisburn is an excellent example of the conjoining of an old and a new building to produce a coherent entity. The challenge inherent in such a project has been successfully handled, each part contrasting with but not diminishing the other. The interior space which incorporates an original 17th century wall is a creative mixture of past and present.
