Built originally as a house and later used as a military barracks, this early 18th century structure was rescued from dereliction by Roscommon County Council in the 1980s. The quality of its subsequent restoration is commendable. Equally praiseworthy is the fact that the original plan has been retained despite the demands of 20th century usage.
