The fabric of the city has benefited from the decision to locate Trinity College Student Residences outside the grounds of the campus. This imposing robust building contributes to the structure of the urban streetscape and occupies a corner site which has long demanded a strong edge.
This scheme involves the creaetion of 207 bed spaces arranged in 55 apartments around a raised central courtyard and includes a 1000 seater multi-purpose hall and society rooms at ground and mezzanine levels below. The complex is linked by a bridge to the main campus.
This project represents an ongoing commitment by the college to provide additional residential spaces as an integral part of the college. The bridge link to the campus was driven by a desire to maintain the integrated social and academic relationship which exists in the campus, while ensuring that the security and safety of students currently enjoyed on campus is maintained in the new building.
