Creative design with modest modification has transformed the interior of this conventional mews house. Light now penetrates deep into the building and redefines the spaces. Relocating the living and bedroom accomodation, remodelling the hall and visually uniting indoor and outdoor space together contribute to this transformation. The use of a limited range of materials, textures and colours intensifies the cool clarity of the modern interior.

Architects' Comment
The project consists of alterations to an existing 1970s mews house. The design concentrates on increasing daylight and sunshine into the deep plan and dramatising the staircase with the addition of a skylit mezzanine gallery.
