The challenge of integrating a large sports stadium into an historical setting is addressed in a rigorously consistent approach to the demands of the logic of the initial, well-chosen form.  The building’s shape is a new presence along the coastline, particularly when lit at night.  Close by, it folds and bends to respond to changing conditions along its length.  The strength of the form is reinforced by an overarching clarity of approach to cladding and the strict control and integration of the many requirements of this complex brief.
