Dublin Castle Drawing Room & Entrance Block

These apartments are of the 18th century and were designed for state functions and also as living quarters for the Lord Lieutenant. A decision to use exact historical detail has succeeded splendidly in the careful treatment of all the mouldings, architraves, plasterwork etc. The highlight of the grouping is the restoration of the Drawing Room which was very considerably damaged by fire in 1941.
